Working at your home business, you will probably be staring at the PC too long and ruin your eyesight without realising it.
You will be glued 9-6 to your PC or laptop. You will barely move except for pressing dashes to the loo or a hurried lunch. Can these be really bad for your eyesight? You bet!
It does not matter if you sit at a great distance from your computer screen, or have the best computer chair adjusted to the right height. If you continue to fix your eyes on the computer screen for hours at one go, you will suffer from eye strain and fatigue. I used to suffer from that!
I realise that I value my eyesight very much. I mean, who doesn’t? Thus, I make it a priority to have scheduled breaks to help rest my eyes as part of my daily home business routine as I work daily online.
Here’s what I do. I make it a point to stop every 30 minutes and look into the distance. Usually I look out of the window to view the lush greenery around my home. Sometimes, I just close my eyes, lay back or get out of my seat and do anything else like the laundry for example. Kidding! More often than not, you’ll find me on the phone.
Another thing you can do is adjust the brightness level of the computer so that it is neither too bright nor too dim. Most people don’t do this. You don’t need that loud brightness or contrast on your PC or laptop if you are in a well-lit room.
Another thing I learnt is to get more sleep every night. I try! LOL! It’s not healthy I believe to stay up late and letting your eyes ache the next day.
I don’t use eyeglasses or contact lenses but if you do, do take proper care for them and use quality eyeglasses if you can afford one. No, you must afford one.
It is of no use if your eyesight is ruined while you work at your [TAG-TEC]home business[/TAG-TEC]. Trust me!
