Here are 10 ways on how not to become an eBay powerseller. Ok, it’s more like 10 mistakes you should avoid to become a powerseller instead.
I’ve decided to break it down in parts so here goes the first part of our series featuring the first 3 mistakes.
Well, running an eBay business can be a great way to make extra money, even to treat it as a home business, but there are a lot of mistakes that many eBay sellers make.
Some of these mistakes are commonly made by novices and new sellers. There are also experienced sellers who often make these mistakes as well.
Keep these in mind so that you don’t have to learn it the hard way and cost you money.
Mistake 1 – Paying Unnecessary Listing Fees
When listing an item for sale, usually you would set the minimum price you want to sell the item for and without thinking about it, you would have paid a listing price twice more than if you had lowered the minimum price.
For example, you want to set the minumum price to sell at $25. Do you know that just be reducing it to $24.99 you would have saved $0.60? Sometimes just a 1 cent difference in the minimum price could save you a lot of money in the long run.
Mistake 2 – Not Including Pictures In Your Auctions
There’s no excuse not to include pictures in your auctions now that digital cameras are so affordable. Heck! Even cellphones comes with decent camera abilities.
If you sell brand new items, then at least include the stock pictures which you can get from the manufacturer.
Mistake 3 – Not Writing Descriptions Properly
Do you write 1 sentence descriptions or none at all? Big mistake. Or is it just plain laziness? Don’t assume that everyone knows the item you are selling and how it works.
There may be a few people who are just browsing the auctions and if they don’t really know much about the item when the come across it, they would probably end up not bidding.
So do yourself a favor, get a detailed description up for every listing. Grab the attention of every browser as well!
