If you, like me, spend your time working from home, you can feel lonely and home alone. If you do not know how to handle the situation, you may even start to have depression.
Here are some ideas I think may help wrestle that lonely feeling…
1) You should create and uphold a fixed schedule
Don’t take it for granted. Yes, working from home allows you to have flexibility but that does not mean you have to work really long hours and stop socializing.
When you create and maintain a fixed schedule, it will free up your time and you can go out, chill and socialize.
2) Always have frequent breaks
Refresh your mind and body by taking regular breaks. Get your eyes off that computer if you are working online.
Go for short walks, pray or call that old friend of yours. Here’s what I do - talk to my other half. It certainly keeps our bonding strong.
3) Join a fitness club
I have yet to start this one because I’m still kind of lazy but I always believed that one should stay fit and healthy and you can do this by joining a fitness club in your neighbourhood.
You can meet lots of new people along the way and allows you to socialize.
4) Take up a new hobby
If you have turned your hobby into a business, most likely it stops becoming a hobby and more into your passionate home based business.
Why not start a new hobby? As for me, my new hobby is sleeping… Kidding.
5) Do some [TAG-TEC]part-time work[/TAG-TEC]
No, no. Not going out to work like the rest. You can do stuff like giving home tuition, be a stay-home nanny, bake cookies to sell, etc.
Hey, you’ll pocket some nice change as well along the way…
…and it helps you curb yourself from feeling lonely and home alone working from home.
