One of the questions I received last week was “How to market my business?” sent by a fellow home based business owner thought my contact page.
Well, I’m about to share with you what I told her.
Firstly, if you are selling a product or service, you can set up a website and put up your offers. Do up a direct marketing website simply selling your product or service where your visitors can hit the “Buy Now” button at the end to purchase.
Another method of the same thing is to give away free valuable information and then lead your visitors to a page where you are selling your product or service. I’m sure you have seen websites where they offer you nothing but free information and at one point or another they lead you to their offer page.
Do this and you have your business up and running. You just need to get traffic.
Secondly, you can give away more free valuable information on your website, freebies, downloads, softwares, samples; in short something special to get a large amount of visitors to your website.
Once you have a large volume of visitors, you can make money by selling ad space, banner advertising or sponsorships.
Just take a look at this blog for instance. When I started this blog, there was not a single ad space except for links which I provide. Now, with more visitors to the site, I have managed to sell sponsorship banners and text-link ads.
I hope to sell sponsorship posts one day. Of course, as long as it adds a tremendous amount of value to this blog.
This second method to market your business however is not instant and takes time but once it kicks off, just get ready to roll!
I heard you asking me now… “How do I [TAG-TEC]get traffic[/TAG-TEC]?” Well, I was not asked that question so I will do another blog post on that.
At least now you know how easy it is to market your business. Just do it!
Finding a Home-Based business that you can be successful in is definitely a chore. 99.5% of all people starting a home-based business fail. But it is not their fault.
