Today, I’m going to talk about affiliate article marketing to help you gain more sales.
Article marketing is marvelous for search engine optimization and it’s a wonderful way to generate traffic. It also is a magnificent way to boost affiliate sales if done correctly.
Firstly, you’ll need to know that one of the most popular article marketing websites where you should submit your articles is at EzineArticles.
You should write a reasonable article between 400 to 600 words and if you need it to be longer, just keep writing. As for me, my articles are between 350 to 450 words each.
When you submit your articles, you are also allowed to include a resource box at the bottom of your article. This is where you explain a little something about you or your website and where you place a link to one of your websites. Actually, you can place up to 3 links, so make sure you utilize that.
Your main aim is to make your readers read through the whole article without giving everything away and then redirect them to one of your websites at the end. Chances are, if your article is good, you will get click-throughs. The only thing is, you are not allowed to use affiliate links there.
If you still want affiliate links in your article resource box, you can go article directories like GoArticles and Article Dashboard to submit your articles. EzineArticles just are too strict with people submitting spam and useless articles.
Where should the link go? Here’s a secret…
The link to your website should lead your reader to a “squeeze page”. This will allow you to obtain the reader’s name and email address. By doing this, you are actually building a list yourself and then you can market to them in future forever unless they unsubscribe or cease to exist.
This is what you should be doing for article affiliate marketing. You have to be able to capture your reader’s email address. This way you are building yourself an asset as well.

Hi Fendi,
Nice post on article marketing. Article marketing is a very tedious but yet rewarding traffic method.
Just to share some experience, sometimes, the amount of words depends on the niche you are in and the type of readers who will read your articles.
Sometimes, a 250 minimum word article can get more click-thru rate than a 500 word article.
To add on to your post, the best thing is regardless it is 250 or 500 words, the most important is just write. If no ideas, just simply take another article and rewrite. The minimum is 250 words so as long as you hit the minimum, it is ok.
Because writing articles are free, so just go ahead and test the words from 250 to 600 and see which articles your readers will be interested to read.
Actions = Traffic
Regards,
Andrew
I have to agree with you Andrew.
I have seen articles with just about 300 words still ranking high in the search engines and having a lot of views and am sure the click-through rates will follow.
Yes, start with one article a week then progress… Can be addicting actually.
Yes, I agree.
But this is one of the best ways to test your landing pages, conversion rates all without spending money but spending time.
I have been submitting 5 articles a day this whole week and it brings me 100 unique visitors a day, but my conversion is really bad. But at least no money was lost testing the conversion rates.
Hi andrew,
Just catching up. Are you still doing 5 articles a day? How are results now?
